Bollywood Carmen is an adaptation by GJ Kalic of Georges Bizet's opera and Prosper Mérimée's novella, set in India during the British Raj era. Kirrinpal Singh, master Santoor player, composed original music for the first production. Bollywood-style choreography was by Sunny Khosa. Associate Director and Production Manager: Heather Johansen. The adaptation can be performed as festive banquet theatre event, full of singing and storytelling, with suitable themed set design and decor. Whilst audience members immerse themselves in the flirtations, passions, and jealousies of the story, the cast may host and serve courses of food and drink, according to the theme.
